Making dreams a reality – purchasing your new house
Here at KFH Accounting Ltd, we have helped hundreds of clients to sleep easy at night by providing clear tax and accounting solutions that keeps them compliant with HMRC and allow them to achieve their lifestyle goals by ensuring they know how much money to keep aside for tax.
In this series of posts, we will be highlighting three different areas on how we helped a client solve their accounting and tax problem.
To start us off, we are looking at a very common scenario I come across on a weekly basis, which revolves around buying your first home.
Case Study: Purchasing your first home when you run a Limited Company
A client came to us after frustration with their current accountant who due not to be a Chartered Accountant, could not sign off on their Accountant Certificate required for their first mortgage.
This was creating a huge amount of stress at an already stressful time.
Working closely with them, not only were we able to produce the correct detailed set of accounts for their mortgage lender but also provide additional support to them for mortgage underwriter queries as well as delivering tax efficient advice to ensure they were not overpaying on their personal tax in a year of high expenses that come with buying a house.
We were also able to recommend a mortgage broker who had proven experience in getting the best mortgage deal for clients who operate through limited companies which is very important.
This solution was delivered in a 2 to 4 month time scale. It resulted in them getting their first mortgage and moving into their first home. We were then able to repeat the process again two years later when they found their dream home and location.
If you want to move into your dream home and make sure this process can happen for you operating as tax efficiently as possible, then please do get in touch at least 12 months before you want to go for your mortgage because the correct tax advice in advance, can make a huge difference when you are ready to go for a mortgage.
