Client Strategy Session: Helen

Helen came to us knowing she wanted to grow her business, having run it successfully for the last five years. However, she was not clear on how to get to the next stage.

We sent her some work to do before our half day strategy session (half an hour tops) which asked key questions designed to get her thinking about specific points around her growth plans.

Over three hours, we spoke at length about what business growth looked like for her and what impact each idea of hers for growth, would have on her and her business before deciding on the key areas she wanted to focus on.

The session provided fantastic clarity to the different ideas she came to us with and allowed her to pinpoint where she wanted to take her business that also aligned with her personal goals around more balanced time with her family.

We also provided some extensive follow up notes after the meeting that allowed her to review the goals she had decided and go through the specific actions she needed to follow to achieve that.

This process happened over the space of one month with the option to have a review call or meeting, three to six months later.  The great news was that a year on, Helen is more focused then ever and has already achieved 2 out of 3 goals set, all which started from gaining new perspective on what changes she needed to make in her business to help her get to where she wanted to be. Her financials are brilliant and it’s great to see the tangible results of her hard work that started with our planning session.

 

Client Strategy Session: Sam

Sam came along to our morning cash flow forecast session as going into 2019 she wanted to take her business to the next level, by increasing her profit and more importantly how much cash she could take from her business to spend on her family and move away from relying on full time work which she was balancing her business with.

In our focused morning session, using a flipchart and white board, we mapped out Sam’s business and created an cash flow forecast based on her current spend and customers.

This was key for our pricing review session. Talking about the different packages she offered, we were able to outline a different more effective way she could offer the same package to more people while increasing the value she gave.

This is all very good but we then re did her forecast using those new packages and increased pricing which revealed by these few small tweaks, she would be able to make another £5k this year, and that was with a very conservative forecast!

Sam left our session feeling motivated and excited by these new discoveries and I look forward to catching up with her again in 6 months to see how her results tracked to her forecast objectives.
